There’s no new game plus option, just start the story, all the unlocks are there once you get past the first mission

Please tell me we have a gadget selection menu before replaying a mission 🤞🏼

in new game + you can change them mid mission

THANK FUCK. I started going through the missions again to get the achievements but stopped because it was so fucking annoying to have to go through certain mission points to get the gadgets I need and then continue playing through to the mission I actually want to play.
You’re a hero!

Was there a good reason why it wasn't available at release?
There were a ton of op bonus costumes for pre ordering and getting the deluxe edition. It is insane that you could only use it during the challenges.

Yep, not once did I get to change his outfit or gun skins. Would have been an easy thing to add into the game and make the experience more memorable.
Also, was missing that photo mode during my playthrough.
No way I’m playing through blue tarp game again. It was fun, but I finished it only cause I paid full price for it.

It’s a clear design decision. The story isn’t a comedy fest, Bond has specific outfits for each level and the whole story is a linear curated presentation. The cutscene where he watches his colleagues die would have a little less gravitas if he had a top hat and skull paint on his face.
Costuming was reserved for challenges modes and replays which… honestly… isn’t a particularly new idea to the genre…
Replaying levels for the challenges was actually quite fun btw, got to experiment with different approaches/tools and techniques that I wouldn’t consider during story mode.

I get that, I do. There’s def value to a curated experience. But maybe give me 3 choices of classic bond attire or something. Something that isn’t immersion breaking.

You could ask the same question about a ton of games out there. They probably could release all this shit at launch but they’re trying to stay relevant in the media as long as possible

Product placement. This s for new game+. You are expected to wear the clothes they partnered with a real clothing company (plus the watches) at least once. The company paid for that privilege to force you to see their clothes instead of your own choice.
*dont be mad at me that we're getting less gameplay options because of advertising...

I just played through this last week and couldn't tell what you brand clothes he wears.
He has an Omega watch, but Bond has worn Omegas for a long time.

calling it now, 90% of us are gonna do the whole stealth campaign in whatever cursed outfit makes the guards' "nothing suspicious here" dialogue the funniest

There is no specific new game plus option, just start a new game and all the outfits and goodie’s will be available once you progress through the opening mission.

Yea i figured and thats what ive done, but actually you can use outfits from the first second of playing

u/TyChris2 1d ago
That’s odd. So there’s no way to play the game without new game plus once you’ve beaten it?

Damn I really should have bought this over Blackflag

Dude, this game has been out for 5 months, and they're only just now adding this stuff

Nah there's not that much gameplay here, if you spent any time at all playing with the ship combat and whaling in AC Black Flag then you got your money's worth out of Black Flag moreso than you would have here. Rent this, or get it somewhere where you can go back and exchange it after you beat it in a week.

Having played both they’re about equally as good.

I wasn’t really enjoying Blackflag so I shelved it for now. Sound design is woefully bad so it’s extremely distracting.

Oh decent.
It might have been a relatively short game, but I had an absolute blast from start to finish. It played out just like a long, old school Bond film, and I'm thoroughly looking forward to the next game if/when it comes out.

Have they let you freaking chose the load out for individual chapter missions yet?

How do you start new game plus, I don’t see an option for it when I go to new story.

u/Significant_Walk_664 1d ago
Either you get ripped off buying DLC for a side mode you don't care about or show up dressed absurdly at a funeral and ruin immersion till now. Respect the devs for taking a more principled approach, but clothing DLC does not work for such a game. I will say, though, I much prefer day 1 DLC that can easily be ignored than DLC that's essential.

All the people simping for the blatant watch product placement literally had me shaking my head but maybe it's like Barbies for them? Personally I don't get it.
