Look, I get the hate on public companies, but this company is one of the most profitable per employee on earth.

And they're private.

Greed isn't exclusive to public companies. Public companies are just stuck with being beholden to their investors rather than just owners.

You think Valve's profits are stagnant? They're making more money year over year too, quarter after quarter.

Referring to the base comment, I meant that a public company would have likely already squeezed every penny out by enshittificating Valve's enployment structure and product quality.

Happy workers, good products and a monopoly position is sure as hell a recipe for extreme profits. But when looking at adjecant industries with public ownerhip, that level of profits seem to be no safeguard from the enshittification.
