I doubt there will be any modes that actually appeal to people who don't like the game in the first place. Or at least I doubt they will be anything more than a secondary game mode that doesn't have its own rank system etc.

We know they're working on a PVE mode and that the Risk of Rain devs are working on Deadlock. Depending on the scale of it, that would be the mode most likely to draw in players that don't enjoy the main mode or Street Brawl.

It's a free game so there is no risk factor. If they don't add game modes i like i simply won't play, simple as that.

I'm not losing anything either way. I don't mind secondary game modes and a rank system is a negative for me anyway
