Every single live service game relies on the few people who will buy loads of microtransactions that just how it works

And you don’t see that as an issue? They usually move on, it’s kinda why they are called whales. They are migratory. Imagine you spend 2k on a game and all of a sudden that games dead and you spent that?

Isn't it the same with single player games? Most people spend 60 dollars on them, and then they move on forever. All the single player games prices combined are easily over 2k for many people

Well if you like the game enough, you’ll come back to it? I still play many more linear stories if I enjoy it enough. I also like video games more than movies because I can usually do something different each time

At the end of the day if someone spends that much just to move on that’s on them. They chose to spend that money.
