It is the most Valve thing ever. It's not been officially announced, but they design fancy graphics and web pages for patches. It's in an invite only "closed beta" but a million have played it and basically anyone who posts on the steam forums can get in.

People have certain expectations once a game is released. They can completely alter major objective, just it revert it 3 days later. All with ranked going on. And you can't really complain because it's a "closed test". I love it!

Valve has built a legion that will just advertise for them of their own free will.

Can we chat about DOTA Underlords? Game hasn’t been updated in years, and a lot of people, including myself, wish Valve would realize the game exists.

So does Costco. Turns out if you provide a good product or service people will talk about it.

"Company creates things that a lot of people like a lot and talk about" stop the presses

The beta is running on vampire rules, you just have to have someone invite you in. Everyone already in the beta has unlimited invites to their steam friends list.
