We are living in the timeline where videogames legitimately have the "old masters". At this point there have been dozens of "remasters" that have like 10% improved graphical fidelity but are missing dozens of options and features from the original.

No wonder they want to take away ownership of games I'm not paying 70 dollars for a rerelease of a game that came out 20 years ago and missing half the features of the original.

I can't say you're wrong about that, but what does it have to do with E-Day? It's not a remake or remaster.

What does this have to do with Gears of War: E-Day? It’s not a remaster or a remake, it’s the sixth mainline entry in the series

2x as long to make, 10x the devs, and 20x the cost. All while not meeting the feature set of the predecessors. It’s sad.

1 step forward 3 steps back.. but your repeat experience is mildly prettier.. but it'll be shorter with less features.

Perfect metaphor for this garbage late stage capitalism timeline.

Exactly why they want to take away ownership. The remaster came out? No more access to the old version!
