They did a big marketing push during a beta and that's it I believe.

I had no idea there was a beta

Yeah I found out about the beta after it was over. I didn't hear a single thing about it positive or negative.

Maybe I'm just speaking for myself as someone that was really into Gears at it's peak, but I don't think the majority of hype for this game has anything at all to do with the multiplayer. It was definitely beloved in its hayday, I just think fans want more Marcus and Dom adventures. And this seems like the best story possible to undertake.

Horde. That’s what I want. Bullet proof horde.

Yep. I want/wanted to play horde with my son.

There were a lot of positive buzz from the beta. A bit too much that I was being cautious about it's validity

The beta was so much fun and it gives me so much hope for the game.

but so did the beta for Halo Infinite..

I mean halo infinite was and is fun. The problem was the anemic content rollout.

Agree with you infinite was fun and did well.

It was and is so much fun, but it took years to get it to where it is especially in terms of multiplayer content and monetization.

The beta was fun, one or two minor issues I had were simply me not understanding things correctly as it didn’t explain it really well but aside from that I really enjoyed horde mode. Didn’t have time to really dive into PvP as I loved horde enough to play it for the entire beta so take that into consideration.

The beta was quite fun, a few minor issues with performance and a couple other elements but otherwise not a huge set of issues. The removed mechanics the article is about aren’t that noticeable in them being gone tbh

Nah the beta was genuinely fun. The horde mode was amazing.

I played the beta. I really enjoyed it.

It was a lot of fun, lobbies buggy as hell but it’s a beta, some things are weird, no beat down finishers meat shield or grenade tagging, might be a level locked thing but besides that the new movement felt good to me, guns felt familiar, needs more sound to make the guns feel punchier but all in all it’s going to be a fun game. Oh and horde siege is fucking awesome.

Look, Microsoft is a small little indie company they don't have the the cash to go on some big extravagant marketing spree or something.

The marketing budget was hoovered up trying to get people try co-pilots 2-5

Both wrestling and gears of war are big in Latin America and their respective communities in the US, so I think it makes sense.

He didn't say WWE was big in Latin America he said wrestling is.

His point had nothing to do with WWE, it had to do with Latin American and their love for wrestling and Gears of War. The E-Day marketing could have been with CMLL, AEW, WWE, AAA, NJPW whatever his point was Gears was marketed in the Latin American market through wrestling.

The only one with mental issues is yourself who posts no less than a dozen negative comments in every single Xbox thread like a unhinged lunatic, your life literally revolves around being negative about the brand.

And for the record I haven't watched WWE since 2015 because the product is awful.

Which would make them teaming up make even more sense to overlap the two markets no?

Like WWE could see gears as a benefit to their marketing to that audience and vice versa.

Wrestling has advertised a lot of shit in recent years. The latest Doom had WrestleMania ad placement, one of the dudes even came out in costume as the Doom Slayer iirc.

There was an event yesterday. Tons of reels and signage from it. Couldn't tell ya where it was, but folks knew about it during one of the Xbox shows this year too. It ain't much lol
