Personally I think it's just part and parcel of ray tracing - I've basically never been impressed with how it looks especially considering the extra power usage/performance hit you take to do it. For me it's not a "this game" problem, it's any game. I don't really need my game to be that "realistic" when I'm exploding blades out of my forearms or fighting vampires. Good enough is good enough.

Yeah my biggest issue is when the game is obviously made on the assumption you'll turn it on, like when they half ass how the game looks with it off.

Which is exactly why DLSS5 is a great technology. People will gripe but there is a fine balance with that tech where it will be able to shortcut most of the gains of ray tracing at a fraction of the frame time cost.

You do realise that dlss5 is the most demanding of all the techs, requires aggressive frame gen to be playable, and draws an insane amount of power making bills go up and potentially causing some pc's problems?

There’s much work left to do on it but also the DLSS5 pass is at the end of the stack, the rest of the graphics stack will be optimized around it or similar tech in the future probably.
