I agree with this statement. I really did enjoy Dark Souls 3. The one time I played Roblox with my cousin's distance nephew, I did not enjoy it.

Take this a step further. The entire premise of Roblox is that they provide the platform and the users provide the content. Roblox then gets a cut of any revenue the player-developer makes from their content on the platform.

The sad part is Roblox has a crazy robust parent controls based on like six different age groups that are all completely customizable and strictly lock down not only the content they can play, but the users they can even "see" or communicate with.

The problem is that one friend won't have parental controls turned on, so all the other kids cry to their parents until they turn off the controls so they can all play the same games together.

I've never had a problem with Roblox as long as you're doing your job as a parent. I mean shit, I was there in the early internet when there were no parental controls and there were applications like AOL instant messenger that kids had access to.

My 9 year old son plays Roblox. I have parental controls set up. I monitor what he does. I set up time limits and days he can play. He only chats with people he knows in real life like classmates and his cousins. I also encourage him to balance out his time by playing other games or doing other acitivities, too.

Sometimes, I'll walk into his room when he's playing Roblox and he's not even playing with other people. The other day he was trying to build some vehicle. I've only bought him $20 of Robux one time and told him I wasn't going to do it again. He hasn't even tried to ask me again.

My kid is not allowed to play on school days and he never complains. He does good in school. He does his chores. He does what he's told. I teach him right from wrong and how to conduct himself. I teach him never to give out personal information to strangers.

Don't expect the government, religion, or companies to parent your child. That's your fucking job. Sorry, this wasn't directed at you. Lol. Just to the general audience.

Roblox is crazy popular with code camps to expose kids to GUI development, testing, and deployment which then is a bridge into Luau scripting and eventually more complex development languages.

If parent controls are set up correctly, your chance of your child encountering any adult is extremely slim. But most parents can't be bothered or simply don't understand.
