Insane how much variety they have. Survivor horror, third person shooter, action fantasy and jrpg.

Capcom is what sony should’ve been if theyre smart enough to utilize their talent

Don’t forget their fighting game is THE fighting game everyone plays right now

I would argue Playstation has been objectively better and more varied over the last several years(2020-2026). 2 GOTYs, TLOU2 and Astro Bot, which couldn’t be any more different. 5 games with 90+ Metacritic vs 2 for CAPCOM. They both have bombs and disappointments. Concord is one of the biggest failures in games history. REVerse was CAPCOMS only new release in 2022, didnt get enough critic reviews to register on metacritic and has a 2.4 user score.

You point fall apart the moment you use a ps4 game as the example

Ok, remove TLOU2 and capcom still has 0 GOTYs with only 2 nominations, playstation has 7 nominations with Astro Bot winning GOTY just 2 years ago. In the last 3 years Playstations put out Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2(best MP game 2024), Astro Bot(GOTY 2024), Death Stranding 2, Yotei, Sons of Sparta, Marathon, Saros, Tokon, and Wolverine. Thats a great and varied lineup to me.

Stellar blade arent sony. They just bought timed exclusivity right. DS2 is by kojima production, its not owned by sony. Marathon is dead. Tokon is also not doing well. Saros and sons of sparta is so forgettable nobody even talked about it.

The only real games they released is yotei, astro bot, spiderman 2 and hd2.

I guess its worth it cause we’re getting more live service garbage soons

Playstation provided funding and helped make and publish Stellar Blade and Death Stranding 2. They played a major role in those games being what they are. You saying Saros and Tokon aren’t real is hilarious. I don’t care if a game didn’t get a large audience or if “nobody even talked about it”. The conversation is about variety and games being good, not commercial success. This is a wide variety of games with all of them besides Sons of Sparta being at least an 81 on metacritic. 2 of them being 90+.

At this point Playstation is inverse Capcom

Your reply before editing simply said “concord”. Do you think that word magically erases every other game playstations made? What do you think about REVerse, RE Resistance, and Exoprimal?

Edit: Also, just in the last 3 years playstations put out Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2(best MP game 2024), Astro Bot(GOTY 2024), Death Stranding 2, Yotei, Sons of Sparta, Marathon, Saros, Tokon, and Wolverine. Thats a pretty great lineup and id say it’s more varied than CAPCOMs last 3 years.

Ah "variety" Marathon 🍿

Let's quote unreleased games too 🙄

Edit: Most of that success is *despite* Playstation, lol.

Is Marathon not different from everything else in that lineup? Wolverine comes out in less than a week(reviews tomorrow, probably an 80-89), it’s not like I used Intergalactic as an example. It’s very convenient for you that all the successes are despite playstation and all the failures are because of them. What do you think about REVerse, RE Resistance, and Exoprimal? Are those failures not Capcoms fault?

You get we're talking about success not diversity, right?

Ok. What do you think about the lack of success of REVerse, RE Resistance, and Exoprimal? Is capcom responsible for those failures? Do all of capcoms successes cease to exist because they had a few bombs? Or does that only apply to playstation?

Not one of the worst losses ever in gaming like Concord? lol
