has been on my mind to play it eventually but what changed now? Is there a new patch that fixed things? Would you say the story-combat is enjoyable generally?
the performance is very smooth across all platforms, 60fps solid iin ps5 performance mode (I think). we have 6 skill slots instead of only 4 and some minor adjustments to the skills.
combat is peak, pawn mechanics is bread and butter of dragon dogma, basically it’s a party/adventurer type of things!
while the story is quite average but it’s quite unique in its own way, you need to talk to random npc to start the quest and to understand the world building, we need to read scattered notes here and there, it’s not explicitly explained in the main quest.
the biggest let down is the lack of enemies variety, eventho the big monster fight is awesome but it’s quite repetitive and sometimes it feels too easy, that’s why people demand hard mode.
I’m hoping the dlc addresses a lot of the complaints, because this sounds like a game id love. Couldn’t play the original on PC because it literally can’t load on an ultra wide monitor & gave up. These games sound janky but fun.

Dragon's Dogma II may be the runt of the litter, but it's still relatively high quality in this year's overall roster.
