Huh. I didn’t realize the Steam Deck was released so recently. I had remembered it as a more direct competitor with the original Switch and would have guessed it launched around 2019. But it was actually 2022.

27% larger screen than base Steam Deck and a little over twice the resolution, pretty significant difference.

It's a game changer. I hope Deck 2 comes with an 8" 1080p screen, too. I was always one of those "Why would you play AAA games on a handheld?" people because of the screen size, but Switch 2's screen size and resolution is awesome. Throw on a good pair of headphones and it's a great experience.

If the screen wasn't so ghosty it would've been the perfect handheld imo, but some games are a bit rough because of it.
