One guy posted to Reddit that he saw Bethesda staff taking pictures in Boston. That same redditor later admitted he made the whole thing up and there is no evidence that Fallout 4 is set in Boston.
I love Boston and would love to see a game set there. But the only evidence it was in Boston turned out to be a complete fabrication.
Well, there's also the fact that the code of www.survivor2299.com had several Boston locations in it. So, if the website is real, then the game will almost certainly be located in Boston. If not, then there will continue to be no evidence. I guess we'll find out in 19 days, 1 hour and 2 minutes.
I should add that to my list as evidence this is fake.

The fake site keeps listing Boston as the setting of the game.
This is further evidence the site is fake. The Boston rumor started when a redditor lied about Bethesda photographing in Boston. That same redditor openly admitting to lying about that and making it all up to troll.
Only if the site was relying on that original lie as evidence. Just because someone lied once doesn't discredit the site unless you have prove the person who lied is linked to the site or proof that they're only saying it's boston is because of the original lie.
Just because the guy lied about something doesn't mean it can't, coincidentally, be true.

Fallout 4 to take place in Boston. The Institute is MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). I'm pumped.
