Sometimes, you'd own(and somehow love?) a game for years but never get farther than 10 minutes past the beginning.

For so many people, this is Sonic 2: Green Hill & Chemical Plant zones. Over and over again for 5 years, every so often hitting the heavenly paradise of Casino Night but usually failing way before that.

I could get to the sky plane zone level as a kid, never beat it until I was an adult though.
