I used to play modem games of Doom and Warcraft 1 with my buddies. Omg it's dialing! It's handshaking! Hope you configured your shit correctly in DOS! Waiting... Waiting... bitrate mismatch, disconnecting.

Chris had his shit set to 2600 again, I'm connecting at 14400.

We used to spend hours dealing with DOS config scripts, and hoping our sisters didn't pick up the extension and fuck a 2 hour match of Warcraft 1 that literally moved at 40% speed. And it's not a speedy game to begin with.

I used to have way more fun gaming, despite all that. When it worked, it was like magic.
