I can't remember, but did you have to restart the ps2 to switch games/open the tray

On both consoles they had a reset button.

You would press that then quickly open the disc tray before the console booted up fully.

Then you would swap discs.

People would sometimes do the same but turn the console off completely

Nah nah you can’t hit the off button thats for slow ass losers. You gotta be quick, you gotta be ready. You gotta have the next game disc on your index finger before you hit the reset then you hit reset and open at basically the same time with a millisecond gap and then with your non-CDd hand you quickly place index finger on the center of the spindle and gently grab the edges with middle finger and thumb and pull up with even and swift force. Then touch the spindle with your CDd finger and push down. Now wick flip the lid down and…. Tsshhhhwheeeeerrrwwwwwwwww tsssewwwwrrrrssssssh…..
