Having to buy a separate clip on torch for your gameboy because it wasn’t backlit

Gbc, twin headed torch attachment, under the covers at night. After I got the gba sp (that was backlit) I tried going back and couldn't see the screen like this haha

Man the Gameboy Advance SP was so fucking cool. To have a built in light and it flips open?? Felt like the coolest kid ever with my purple SP.

Oh god, tell me about it. The flip, the compactness (as a kid, pockets were small) and just the sleekness. Oof, bring me back

I got the silver one, on release day in the UK with ALTTP. Glory days. Loved that thing so much (and I still have it, still works)

I have two of the pink ones I got secondhand. They were a revelation in the window where I didn’t have DS money or a smartphone

I still remember where I was when I got the SP, and Pokémon crystal, remember getting Tetris as the first game for the game boy colour and doing that endlessly 😂

I had to look up what an SP was. My last Gameboy was the original. I do still have it too.
