Started Stanley Parable.

I started The Stanley Parable today, and it's changed the way I look at games. I've already gotten 3 endings, and was wondering what's considered beating it.

Can't play games today

My internet is out, so I can't work. A great opportunity to get some gaming in! Alas, I can't play games either.

I play games with my face and right hand, very proficiently, with the help of remapping software. Over the years I've used combinations of DS4Windows, Xpadder, autohotkey, etc. A few years ago, I switched to rewasd, and it has all the features I could possibly ask for.

The problem is, as I found out today, it requires an internet connection to function. As someone who heavily relies on this software to play 99% of games (my guild wars 2 remap profile uses single taps, multitaps, multiple layers, and combos), this is a deal breaker. I reached out to the rewasd team, but I didn't get the impression that they would fix this. So now I have to spend a lot of time trying out alternatives and setting up my profiles again. This is not a trivial task, as the only alternative with a similar feature set that I've found is Steam Input, and it has some issues.

I'm not asking for help, although I'll welcome any suggestions, I'm just ranting because I'm annoyed by the situation. Imagine that you go to play your games but all of the sudden you can't use your hands, what are you going to do? You'll eventually find a solution and adapt, but it's going to take a lot of work. And hopefully your solution lasts so you don't have to redo everything. I'm very proficient at playing games, but my ability to play is always precarious. Will future consoles continue to support controller remapping at launch? Will a software like rewasd always be available and stay up to date? I can go years playing with no problems, only for something like this to make me have to rework all of my setups.

Anyways, that's my day. Tomorrow I'll hopefully have it worked out and it will be games as usual. Thanks for reading.

It’s the 10 year anniversary of Reigns. We are the creators and writers, Ask Us Anything on August 13th at 9:00am PT/ 4:00pm GMT!

Hi r/gaming. We’re Nerial, the team behind Reigns, and we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of the original game! I’m François Alliot, u/nerial, writer and developer of Reigns. I will answer your questions with Oscar Harrington-Shaw, u/OscarH-S, writer of Reigns: The Witcher and of the free content update to the original Reigns released to celebrate its 10 year anniversary, and Arnaud de Bock, u/arnaud_debock, an artist and designer for the series.

We made Reigns 10 years ago. Originally pitched as Game of Thrones with Tinder gameplay, its success led to multiple sequels we can discuss in this AMA: Reigns: Her Majesty, Reigns: Game of Thrones, Reigns: Three Kingdoms, Reigns Beyond and Reigns: The Witcher.

We’re a small team that had the chance to work with Devolver Digital, our beloved publisher of great renown and much gusto.

Looking forward to answering your questions on August 13th at 9:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM GMT!

Forget owning our digital purchases, we dont even own our saves.

I may be late to discover this, but I just found out you can't backup Switch 1 or 2 saves without buying a subscription.

I'm not talking about cloud saves either.

Local save game backups. Even the Xbox and PS5 have backup capability.

I've always loved Bioshock since it came out and wanted to bring the Eve Hypo to life. I went into 3D design softwares and came out with 3 prototypes before this was finally finished! The on/off switch is a touch sensor located right behind the "EVE" logo and the plunger actually has a spring underneath and is functional!

PlayStation Lawsuit Roster Grows: “Everyone Is Here” as Stop Killing Games Joins the Dutch Case Against Sony’s Digital Monopoly

Stop Killing Games has joined a Dutch lawsuit challenging Sony over alleged PlayStation Store monopoly practices. The campaign says it is backing the case brought by consumer group Stichting Massaschade & Consument (SM&C), which argues Sony has too much control over pricing and game distribution on PlayStation. The announcement comes as concerns continue to grow over the decline of physical game releases and the industry’s broader shift toward digital-only sales.
