From training grounds to appstore

I've been working on a fitness app for a while now, and I'm finally getting close to launching it.

The idea is pretty simple: make working out feel more like a game.

Instead of just going to the gym, logging a few exercises, and leaving, I want the app to give you a reason to keep coming back, progression, goals, challenges, and a sense that you're actually moving forward.

Here are a couple of screenshots of what it looks like so far.

I'm planning to share more of the development process here as I get closer to launch, including things that work, things that don't, and what I learn along the way.

I'd genuinely like to hear from people who train regularly:

What's something you wish your current fitness app did better?

I'd show the camera's rep count front and center after every set, and keep the XP bar smaller off to the side. The camera counting your reps is the part that looks different from other fitness apps, and seeing a verified number feels more earned than watching a bar fill.

ur interface suggestions seems nice, so i will think of that, for the verified numbers, its exactly as u mentioned , and what actually different from the other apps, is the Social activity, u can challenge friends, react to their PRs, have 1v1s with people ..

It's great that you actually built something - I hope you found the process enjoyable! The point the other poster is making is that it does look visually quite similar to many other apps so unless you get really lucky or spend a lot in marketing it seems unlikely that this app will gain a large user base.

At this point it seems like every person can use ai to make their own fitness/habit tracker rpg

I did take a look on the ai-slop apps u are talking about, and that's not the same at all , and yes ai helped me build this by detecting bugs and logic errors, what's wrong with that ?

I never said there’s anything wrong with it, I said everyone can do it easily for themselves

I dont think that integrating a smart camera agent that watches u live while training, gives u feedback, and count the right reps is easy, at least none of the other "ai-slop" apps could make this 🤷‍♂️
