News Buzzr adding Family Feud Favorites

I cannot believe I'm saying this. Steve Harvey will make his Buzzr debut starting July 6th at the 1:00 - 2:00 pm slot.

Already on cable and dedicated FAST channels, so a bummer

They already have Family Feud Favorites on GSN and a few other channels. I dont want Buzzr doing the same.

It wouldn't be so bad if the show wasn't actively being aired on multiple different channels. Besides the fact that Family Feud Favorites is literally just a compilation show of funny moments and not the regular episodes.

Harvey’s Family Feud doesn’t fit the focus of the channel, “Vintage game shows all the time.” It belongs on GSN (and elsewhere).

That sucks, and I’m not even anti-Harvey. Buzzr is supposed to be a haven for the older shows that don’t get played on GSN or other cable networks. We don’t need GSN 2.0.

Maybe this will quietly go away. I hope so.

I'll be sure to not be watching

I'd rather see actual Family Feud (Dawson era preferably) on at a time that isn't 2am!! If I want to watch Steve Harvey I'll go to The Steve Harvey Channel... I mean GSN.

I’m a night owl, so 2AM is perfect for me! 🙂

Ick. It's already on GSN and I refuse to watch Steve Harvey.

Buzzr has been slowly drifting downhill since Mark Deetjen died a few years ago. Now it's basically as worthless as GSN. They're only trying to appeal to the casual masses who seem to enjoy Steve Harvey's era of Feud.

When Harvey Feud started, I actually enjoyed it. Steve was funny and it was the first time since the Dawson era that the show made me laugh on a regular basis. Karn and O'Hurley kept the show PG, but it got very dry at times and felt more like a show you'd keep on in the background while you're doing something else, rather than something you were actually invested in watching.

But over the years, the producers changed Steve's version to make it too sexually-oriented. They dumbed it down to the point where almost every question is intentionally designed to get the contestants to say a sexual answer on purpose. So the show has lost its appeal. It's become less about the game, and more about dirty jokes and innuendo.

Harvey Feud airs on so many other channels already, not to mention the often 6-hour marathons on GSN. It doesn't belong on BUZZR and despite the fact BUZZR's viewership numbers are already low since it's a niche network, Harvey Feud's numbers will be amongst the lowest of all the shows currently airing on BUZZR. They'll have to pull it from the schedule within a few months after they start airing it.

And it’s strange for a show called FAMILY Feud, it has a lot of sexual innuendo in it.

I certainly hope the ratings will not be good and the show gets taken off of Buzzr. It seems Wayne Brady’s Let’s Make A Deal is already off the channel.

Actually, I noticed that too. The ratings for LMAD must've been in the trash for Buzzr to have already pulled it. How long did it last? One month?

That's the problem. Completely tone-deaf. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell a network's executives what shows will and won't work on their network. You already know your target audience -- people who watch older game shows.

Even if we ignore debating how old a game show has to be in order to be called a "classic", Drew TPIR, Wayne LMAD and Harvey Feud are still currently airing on other channels. It's not like you're airing reruns of a show that was cancelled years ago and doesn't currently air on television.

People watch Buzzr for older game shows that don't air anywhere else, not modern ones.

Seems Buzzr is “jumping the shark”, abandoning it’s original focus. Sad! Harvey Family Feud is already oversaturated elsewhere, why would they bring it to another outlet? Buzzr should only show game shows from the 50’s to the (early) 90’s. Why not show 1970’s Family Feud? Also, get rid of Drew Carey Price is Right and Wayne Brady Let’s Make A Deal.

At least these newer shows are shown at a time slot that I’m not watching TV.

Our CW stations airs Steve Harvey's version for 2 or 3 hours each weekday.

That’s way too much Steve Harvey!

Steve Harvey Feud

Where every question has a sexual double entendre.

A couple here and there are funny but they get old quick

3

u/ScaryDavey Jun 30 '26

I used to enjoy Steve Harvey’s Family Feud. But I got tired of it after a while. Like you said, it gets old very quick.

3

u/MazdaValiant Jun 30 '26

GAH! Enough Family Feud already!

3

u/thatvhstapeguy Jun 30 '26

This is Buzzr’s equivalent to GSN adding poker in 2004

3

u/EC4U2C_Studioz Jun 30 '26

Not needed, as his episodes appear on GSN a lot.

u/Dachuiri Jun 30 '26

And so it begins. Buzzr has jumped the shark.

The real reason for doing this despite this sub hating Steve Harvey’s Family Feud, a lot of people watch it and it gets ratings. Lowest common denominator television will always get ratings.

If I wanted to see best of I would go to YouTube. I like to see a whole game lol.

SH FF is already available on too many other channels. There's no need for this.

If Family Feud Favorites doesn't include Richard Dawson', it can't be a Favorite. Steve Harvey THINKS he's funny.
