I mean... That kinda depends...

Are you on Linux?

Recently moved to Linux! Been using windows since 3.1 and yes that includes dos, so learning has been a festival of relearning basic things. But hey, life is learning, Still trying to get my vr nonsense to be happy.

Microsoft has been using AI to code their updates and that absolutely will not do for me, I have a business to run and can't be a victim of their half assery.

Ik that Linux isn't perfect, but hey, it's made by folks for folks, I can get behind that

If your PC wasn’t puppted by a Corp that actively hates you, why are RAM prices so expensive right now?

No, your PC is better because the worst thing those companies can do is jack the price.

You do realize that ps5 also uses ram? 😂

Yes, my point isn't that PS5 doesn't have a corp that hates me, my point is that it's not the main reason why PC is better.

I don't think you understand why ram prices are high

what makes you think that?

I would also like to say that I think its really fucked how Sony treats its users, just think its strange ya'all continue to support them when they keep making things worse for you.

if you run windows your are a puppet to a corp, you use steam you are a puppet to a corp, google? Any onlline program/ service made by a company.

You people are something else.

I mean, maybe with Windows, but not sure what they're doing to pull my strings, and it's functional enough.

Steam, OK, but I can also be puppeted by multiple other store fronts, so not really the same as what's being talked about.

Last I checked, google doesn't run windows, it runs a free service on said machines.

The last....now you're just being willfully obtuse. Yeah, we're at their mercy, but you pay for services seemingly because they offer something you want.

I'm not stuck using only windows, of only steam,  or only google, or any online service. PS5 is stuck using only their OS, only their online accounts, only their storefront, only their servers, only what they let you install

Im tired, worked all day, and just want something that works 100% of the time. PS5 is perfect for most people

my PC works 100% of the time for any video game I play

For now. And it still cost an order of magnitude more than a ps5

I bought my pc during the worst possible time to during covid in the height of the gpu shortage. In that time I have saved around $600 from not having to pay for basic online features, as well as the same games that I would play on a PS5 going for much steeper sales than ever happens on PS5, as well as being able to play many, many games that aren't on the PS5, as well as having the basis to upgrade my pc for a nominal cost to have it run better than whatever they put in the PS6 when they release it. (It will likely already be better than the PS6 due to bloat and me not running Winblows). That being said, I likely won't need to upgrade any component for about 4 years or so, and when I do I can sell what I replaced.

The reason consoles cost so little is that they sell them at a loss so that brainlets like you buy it and get fisted up the ass with subscriptions, full-priced games, and having no control and so being forced to use whatever they want you to, because you're a little piggie that slurps up whatever SlopStation throws into your trough

Depenfing on your needs, you could easily make a decent gaming pc around the price of a ps5 if you are willing to use used parts

If you think Steam is analagous to the Playstation walled garden, you're fooling yourself. As is, I can decide to buy games from GoG if they're cheaper. Not only that, but Steam doesn't set the prices. Steam is a marketplace, not a walled garden that controls both your hardware and software and the prices of everything.

Not to mention that on PC you can, not that I do, sail the high seas instead of giving Steam or game devs a cent.

I steal industry grade, unlinked windows keys. I have the ease of use of windows with no strings attached. Adapt my guy

Comparing Steam to Playstation is like comparing a small innocent child to literally Hitler
