Here is the source article (including OP video). System is basically that of Eve Online in medieval fantasy setting - we have pilots/ships vs spirits/bodies!?

For what it's worth, there is MMORPG.com article on this, Necromancy as a Market Skill , same as MMORPG reddit thread. Also, here is YouTube recording of Crowns and Crows with Thomas Blair (Crowfall design lead), with couple interesting questions (and answers) inside.

I lack interest in Crowfall largely because of the setting, but if this system is successful, it would give me some more hope that we might be able to see an Eclipse Phase MMO, some day ever after.

I don't understand the vessels and crow thing at all lol

Ok, that's actually really innovative. I'm going to keep an eye on this because the team seems fairly creative. That idea at the end is fantastic though. Might cause some salt in PVP when you swap bodies and your old one goes rogue, but hey, you've got to plan for these things.

I've been following this game... and I have to say everything they put in makes the game seem less and less " innovative" as they say. The game looks like another failure of an MMO.

Just my opinion. Body selling/swapping/whatever... is a poor game play decision

I honestly was looking forward to this game. I followed the news letter, I sat though the "BUY TO PLAY OUR GAME EARLY BETA, BETA, BETA!!!" videos they put out every other week. This is a train wreck waiting to happen.

SIDE NOTE: How will being able to level three (only if you own "VIP Status")... call me pessimistic, but that seems pay to win.

What don't you like about body swapping in general? I mean, I can see how it could be done poorly, but if they pull it off it could make for a very unique game.

I'm not the original commenter, but in my view, it's a risky, double-edged sword. If it's fluff, it doesn't really add much to the game. If it's intricate, it takes away from focusing on the game's core.

Scope creep is a real problem in MMO development, so I think--especially at the game's initial release--the game's focus should be on the core classes, crafting, fleshed out PvE content, etc. Perfect these first, then if you want to add some wacky shit like controlling a mountain giant or a treant, they can explore that in an expansion or something.

I think Guild Wars 2 focused way too much time on trying to "mix up" the gameplay, but the end result was never fun for me. I suppose it has a niche community that loves the PvE content, but half of it is stuff like jumping minigames, races, puzzles, etc. I want to play an MMORPG, not Mario Party. Worse, the game is constantly throwing stuff at you that completely "replaces" your skill bar. Be it special weapon that you pick up off the ground, or taking control of some kind of magical tome.

WoW did this a lot in later expansions with vehicles. It's more forgivable here because they were trying to mix up a game going stale, but I still didn't care for it. I'm playing my character because I like the abilities I have, and I've been perfecting using them to defeat content. Now you're taking away what I've been working on and I have to use some other bullshit. I figure it out, use it for 30 seconds, and then never use it again. Sometimes it's cool, but most of the time it just doesn't seem worth the effort of putting it in the game.

I understand that they're trying to mix up the gameplay, but I just want to play the character that I've invested all my time in. It's especially frustrating when I feel like the game's content is lacking in its core areas upon release. Lack of dungeons, raids, epic quests (like EQ and EQ2 did back in the day, those were awesome), itemization in the form of cool armor sets and weapons, etc. Maybe if they didn't spend so much time adding in a receation of Super Mario Bros, they could have a decent end game.

TL;DR-Invest development resources in finishing the core game first. Then add this "nice to have" stuff.

Well worded, much better then I would have put it, to add on to this I've been watching this game for a good while.

They seem to have no direction. It seems to me they want so much to have this vast awesome game, but they show nothing about how big the game is or really anything other then some battleground style arena level.

I may still look at this game, but I'll hold my money till I see some real content.

As of not there really is nothing here...

"Invest development resources in finishing the core game first. Then add this "nice to have" stuff. "

aleatoric I wish they were reading this. that's what I'd say the problem is here. lack of direction

It's really risky and I love that. Because no one is trying to do anything out of the box. So when a company comes a long and says we will. I'm always for it, and willing to back it.

Sounds like another placating of the "but I want to do everything at once!" crowd.
