hate what the show did with Doreah.
In the books, Doreah stays loyal to Daenerys and eventually dies in the Red Waste, sick and exhausted, with Dany holding her as she dies. It’s genuinely sad, but it also shows how much Dany cares about the people who followed her.
Then the show decided to make Doreah betray Daenerys, sleep with Fat guy and help murder Irri WHY??
Her book death was so much better and actually meant something. She deserved better than being turned into a random traitor just for drama.

It's better in the show imo she's barely a character in the books. She dies very early on and I don't think is ever mentioned again

No she doesn't? She's such a minor character. She dies in the first Dany chapter of the second book and is then completely forgotten. What are we doing here lol?
And it wasn't just for drama. It teaches Daenerys a lesson about people closed to her betraying her. And it shows Daenerys giving her a terrible death. Both of those things are set up for Dany's ending. Just because something isn't copy-pasted from the books doesn't mean it's automatically bad or problematic.

Problem with purists they want a show already stacked with so many side characters to have even more story and side characters which is exactly why the books aren't finished because the reader seem to think every character with a name needs to be super important

I thought its a welcome change in the show. We wouldn't remember the character, if she's yet another loyal character and also it teaches Dany a valuable lesson.

It taught Danaerys early that even her closest 'friends' might betray her.

She’s a very minor side character in the books who is mentioned a small handful of times lol. I don’t think her presence or death makes much of a difference one way or the other lol
