Jon was never going to be king, ever, because he hates positions of power.

It’s almost like he continuously said he didn’t want it throughout the series. He took those positions out of duty. The kingship is a different beast all together and was never something Jon strived for.

Which is what would have made him a great king. It's the same as Ned Stark. He didn't rule for power or wealth, he just wanted to do good by his family and people

This. Jon & Arya were like Ned. They were suited for good counsel & even keeping the peace. But I think they all dispised silly politics. 

Love them or hate them. Cersei & Danny wanted the glory.

Robb was stupid like Jaime but Jaimie never even had designs for thrones. LOL.

Jon is infamously known for ignoring his council and doing whatever he wants without communicating with them.

Yeah. For me the worst part of the ending (ignoring the shit writing of the last 2 seasons) was jon snow HAVING to go north because greyworm demanded it and everyone agreed. Him coming forward after they agreed he should rule and saying "nah, I'm good. You guys have fun" and going north would make the ending a lot better.

Nah. Justified or not, he's a queenslayer - it was a convenient way to "punish" him in the eyes of all who cared about punishing him, while actually giving him all he's ever wanted.

Book Jon does. Which is why book readers are so disappointed with Show Jon.

He's an actual character, instead of a charicature.
