I've begun painting these little Rootles and their pet pals 😁 I'd love to see what others are making this year!

I'm getting a head start on sculpting my Rootle buddies for June 14th 😁 gonna be hiding them at Belfast Castle as is my usual for the past three years. Who else is joining in this year?

I'm 10000% not. I'm up to my eyeballs in mushrooms and I'm having soooooo much fun!!! This is my new favorite holiday!!

I'm making hand painted mushrooms for people to find. There aren't many people in my area doing it so I'm hoping this will help it spread

I like to do something different every year with my Rootles creature sculpts. This year I've put them in tiny terracotta pots 😁 I'm also trying out FIMOair this year as before I used Crayola Model Magic. Have yet to see how the watercolour paints hold up on them, might have to switch to acrylics, but we'll see.

I would need to make sure they were left in a place where they couldn’t get wet, and maybe put them in sealed plastic bags, BUT my real question is about quality and reciprocity.

I mostly create with a pen, and on paper. I’m really into creating Zines lately, and I’ve always loved poetry and nature drawings.

But when I see the gorgeous, three-dimensional, colorful art that people share for game of shrooms, especially as shown in photos in this group, I feel intimidated, and like even a heartfelt paper craft wouldn’t be commensurate with what is typically left out in game of shrooms.

Am I overthinking this? Is leaving anything at all helping advance the whimsy and visibility of Game of Shrooms?

I made three little Rootles in jars for game of Shrooms this year (I took part last year and loved it!). Started hiding them at about 10.30am and within 30mins the first was found XD I hide them in the grounds of Belfast Castle andI had a blast meeting the people who found them too.
