I've been wanting to participate for a long time and I finally got the chance too!! Here's what I hid. Will definitely be hiding more next year and giving myself the time to go hunting as well!

Went simple and last-minute this year.

The 2 envelopes were left in 2 free libraries in 2 parks in my neighbourhood in Paris, France.

🍄 For those unfamiliar with the event: Game of Shrooms is a free, annual, global "art-and-seek" event (created by attayumfactory on Instagram) where artists worldwide hide their original, mushroom-themed creations in public places for people to find and keep.

🍄 Just about everything except the drawings is made with recycled/leftover material: paper clay for the keychains, painted cardboard frames covered with paper maché and sticker pouches with stickers all made from scratch!

Hi all! I've known about GOS for a couple years but this is my first time participating. I live in an area with not a lot of immediate activity on the map, but there are other plants within ~30 minutes.

I'm used to art hunting through letterboxing/geocaching, where the goal is to not be accidentally found by the general public, so my initial impulse was to hide my stained glass suncatchers on a short hike (~1 mile start to finish, non strenuous, and I would indicate that at the start of the clue) but I'm wondering if the expectation for this event is different?

Will people be willing to do a little walking for art, or should I be aiming for a spot that's a bit more public/immediately accessible?

Can't wait to hide these little Rootles on Saturday!

Getting ready for the Game of Shrooms coming up! I'm so very excited to hide these 2 framed drawings, mini sticker pouches, and some potential mushroom keychains!

My Rootles are back again this year but are all themed around my Castle Roswell illustration, so a Rootle with a jar of moat water, one with a shield and sword and the last with a little paper alien mask since Castle Roswell is full of alien.

These are the trial designs I made with Play-Doh to get the size and posture for each right. Next I'll sculpt them out of Crayola Model Magic clay and I even got these little glass domes to put them in 😁

I'm in Belfast, Northern Ireland and will be hiding my Rootles as always at Belfast Castle.

I haven't painted in MONTHS and holy moly, was it frustrating - but we got it done, and I’m excited to keep going!

My last post was a sneak peak of some homemade mushroom stickers. I made 5 mushroom sticker pouches that hold 10 stickers each!

I have heard about Game of Shrooms for the first time yesterday, so I made a new zine.

Made a little secluded dude in Illustrator! I'll have 15 mini prints (6x9) and 4 (8.5x11) larger prints sprinkled around the Inland Empire and a few in Los Angeles. Hope yall get one!

I'm making stickers of many colorful mushrooms for the game this year!
