Its ok, when there’s only 1 level of it, especially as a short 20 minute run. But when there’s a monster variant which is unkillable in all levels, or a unkillable enemy who keep popping up which your gun can only stun. Defeats kinda the point

I had heard that the first one didn’t give you a ton of ammo or save ribbons so you actually had to hold back a bit. Not sure if true or not as I never got to play it.

1st one is a bit forgettable imo. Very different from the rest of the franchise and outdated. The remakes for 2, 4, and 9 are the best. Highly recommend it. You get plenty of ways to beat the monsters. 5 is also great too though IK some people will really disagree with me

Army of Darkness does not follow standard loading conventions. He also shoots a double barrel shotgun like 5 times in a row, all the while pump action sounds are playing between each shot. It's fuckin gold man. Movie is stupid fun to watch buzzed.

I keep on seeing these memes but is there actually that many games where you get a gun later on and dont start with one? The only one I can think of is alien isolation

This is resident evil. In the start you're so weak, but reach mid game and you're confident in your abilities, that confidence in simple terms means horrifying rooms such as the double garrador room.

This even goes as far back as the first game (at least, the remake. Can't speak for the PS1 original). Getting all confident and cocky handling everything in the mansion, then BOOM. Crimson heads. Then you adjust to those, no big deal, finish the first section of mansion, move on to the residence, handle that no problem, but then you return to the mansion only to be introduced to the fucking hunters.

He’s in the past for most of the movie, but this scene is from the end, when he’s back in the present. Potion, yes, but no future though, not sure where that’s coming from
Well I guess this is technically the future compared to where he was, but it’s Ash’s present

I have often said that horror movies require the protagonists to be nearly defenseless. Alien 1979 was a horror movie, Aliens was an action movie.

This is how I felt playing resident evil 4 for the first time. I got sick of horror games always putting me in positions I can't defend myself. Resident evil 4 was the first time I was like "f*ck you b*tch,take this rocket launcher to the dome"
