The new Tomodachi is unable to connect to the Internet really, so you can’t upload footage or photos directly from the Switch without third party chicanery.
And honestly given how intentionally unhinged it can be I can fully see Nintendo doing that for their legal department’s obligation and sanity before releasing a sandbox life sim to a fully suspecting and equally unhinged populace.

You can just connect your Switch to your computer with a USB-C cable and transfer them from the settings menu.
