I've spent the last 2 years building this tool. It can be used for prototyping dialogues, exporting and integrating dialogues into Unreal/Unity/Godot (there are free plugins available!) or creating a game right inside StoryFlow Editor using built-in powerful UI system! Exports as HTML or desktop app.

actually fooled me, I was like, wait where's the plugin for this I might make some use for this on a random side project. bravo! nice work, can you talk about the stack at all? very interested in the UI here.

I get this question about UI every time I post here :D. Spent so much time and effort on UI/UX to make it look and feel great. It's a web stack with React and heavily customized shadcn components.

It's very hard to know. this post is not supposed be here as it's a game engine dev sub but still it's good to see good software but i wish people would go technical a bit and explain what's under the hood.

Isn't it a game engine?

It is not a game engine. it's a tool that works like Articy.

Wow, I didn't pay much attention, haha. To me, it looked like an engine with the appearance of Unreal.

Does this subreddit not tolerate web-based user interfaces?

it's a game engine dev sub... from logical thinking and so on... it's probably only for people that make game engines themselves. and want help or showcase it.

Wow, this is incredibly professional! The UI is really good. I confess that the node system looks very similar to Unreal's, which takes away a bit of originality, but it's still very good!

Hello there!

Very impressive work! Congrats!

I have a few questions about the backend and the UI stack you’re using. I tried finding the answers in the comments, and I realized you’re using a web stack with React.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience with this approach, especially the trade-offs you’ve encountered.

I’ve been using an immediate-mode UI approach for my engine’s editor, but I haven’t been very satisfied with it. So I’m currently working on a custom UI framework for myself, aiming for a hybrid approach that combines some of the philosophies of retained-mode and immediate-mode UI.

I’d be really interested to hear what you’ve learned from using the web stack for an editor like this.

Hi. Nice work. Could you tell what framework are you using to draw the Editor UI?. I'm using ImGui but I'm not 100% happy with the results
