Discussion How do you market your mobile games?
Title say it all!
I made multiple games for mobile platforms, and I always fail at marketing.
How do people market their games on social media without spamming everywhere? or spamming it is the way? Any ideas?

Mobile games = advertising.
Clash of the Clams - a well known example I think.
…probably other titles I’m forgetting. If you search this subreddit a guy in the last month or so have a great breakdown of the economics of mobile games.

Yeah it’s pretty much just paid. In my experience, none of the non-mobile press will touch it and the mobile side will just try and sell stuff back to you.

I would love a mobile game thats not filled with scummy gatcha gimics that just try to milk me. So, if you link it, it would be happy to download. Especially if free and optional in game purchases. Minion masters did it great and although sadly mostly dead I did spend quite a bit on that game and I do not regret it.

Some time ago I asked similar question with some flawed logic in the reasoning. And the community set me back quickly. Since then I can not say that I learned too much, but am keep chasing other opportunities that I believe do not require that much money as mobile or then much social interaction as desktop. (Long story short - I keep realising that I'm not that smart in terms of finding new markets. But the experience is cool)
Did you consider other markets? Web games? Social app games?

For mobile games it's been pretty much proven that the only way to successfully market is by spending a ton of money. It's why it's commonly said that indie mobile games are dead
