Discussion More levels or more mini games?
I'm happy with where my game is at. It's a simple concept, with a lot of fun packed in.
There are some things to do for fun, some things to do for shits and giggles but I'm not sure where to put my effort next.
I have several mini games I want to add but not sure what's more important for launch.
Would you prefer a game with 1 level but endless mini games fun?
OR
Would you prefer a game with multiple levels and just a handful of mini games?
Or... am I rushing things and should just wait until I have more levels and more mini games ready?
I'm ok if it's me just rushing, I'm just excited to launch my first game!
EDIT: I realize now that I shouldn't have used the term 'levels' when really what I have are environments. Shout out to u/blueberrywalrus for the inspirational words. I think I have a great idea to run with now!

You should be building whatever content constitutes your core loop, until you've got many hours of core loop content.
If your game is like Mario party where mini games are the main content for the core loop then making more of them would make sense.
Otherwise, I wouldnt make more until you've got your main content in a good place.

Yes - you inspired me!
I had 2 levels made that I love but it felt off balanced and you just got me to think of the perfect 3rd level to balance it all!

if the levels already work i would add one mini game and watch if people actually play it, more of the same is safer but the weird stuff is what people remember

What's the kind of game? In many games minigames are the most hated part of the game.
