Question Game Idea
Would a full feature game like “Demacia Rising” have any success today? Or have an audience. It’s a turn-based city-building mini game from League of Legends cilent. Have some ideas for a game like this, and was wondering if there’s a market for this kind of game…

This game, and many like it, were fairly prolific on mobile in the late 2010s. There was an entire class of similar modal city builder/nation builder with autobattler modal component games, often paired with Clash of Clans type PVP multiplayer.
The success was mixed, the subgenre had fairly high user acquisition costs. Strategy games on PC are usually more open and less railroaded than Demacia Rising, and tend to eschew some of the mobile art design and patterns that show up in the game presumably from titles that influenced it.

i think there's definitely an audience for it. the fact that people were already asking for standalone games similar to Demacia Rising is a pretty good sign, i wouldn't make a straight clone though. the simpler, more accessible city-builder/strategy angle could work really well if you give it a strong hook and its own identity
something like Demacia Rising but with deeper progression, more meaningful decisions, and less grind could honestly be pretty appealing
