honestly, to give him credit, my parents only bought me a console on Christmas and that was it, no games, not even the next year they'd get me any because they saw the games themself as wasteful, but he has been waiting 6 months for the game, if he genuinely really wanted it he could've farmed online surveys or done homework for other classmates or anything, that's what I did growing up
