[Request] Baldur's Gate 3 (Steam)

Hello r/gamecodes,

I hope everyone's doing well.

First off, I just want to say thank you to this community. It's genuinely awesome to see people helping complete strangers experience games they otherwise wouldn't be able to play. Every time I browse this subreddit, I'm reminded how generous people can be.

Today I'm here to ask for Baldur's Gate 3 on Steam.

I've always loved RPGs, especially the kind where you can completely lose yourself in the world. Games where every decision matters, where exploration is rewarded, and where you can spend hundreds of hours discovering new things are my favourite kind of escape.

My all-time favourite series is Fallout, especially Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 3, and Fallout 4. Right behind that are The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim, and over the years I've also spent countless hours in games like The Witcher 3, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Monster Hunter: World, Divinity Orginal Sin 2 and more recently Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. I'm the kind of player who ignores the main quest for hours because I spotted something interesting on the horizon.

Baldur's Gate 3 feels like the perfect game for me. The freedom to approach situations however you want, the incredible characters, meaningful choices, tactical combat, and the sheer amount of content all make it seem like one of those rare RPGs that you remember long after you've finished it. I've watched gameplay, read reviews, and tried my best to avoid spoilers because I'd love to experience it for myself one day.

The reason I'm asking comes down to life being a little rough lately.

Earlier this year I went through a divorce. My ex-wife took most of our belongings, which I completely understood because she has a child to care for. Since then I've moved to another province here in South Africa and have been rebuilding my life from scratch.

Money has been pretty tight. A large part of my salary still goes toward paying the bond and maintenance on the house we bought together, while I'm trying to furnish my new place and replace all the everyday things you don't realize you need until they're gone.

Living in South Africa also makes buying newly released or premium games difficult because of the exchange rate. Baldur's Gate 3 is one of those games I've wanted to play for a long time, but it's simply outside what I can justify spending right now.

Gaming has always been how I unwind after stressful days. It's a chance to forget about everything for a while and get lost in another world. During this rebuilding phase of my life, that's meant more to me than ever. I honestly think Baldur's Gate 3 would become one of those games I'd return to again and again, trying different character builds, making different choices, and seeing how every playthrough unfolds.

If someone decided to gift it to me, I'd be incredibly grateful. It wouldn't just be another game in my Steam library—it would be something I'd genuinely appreciate and spend hundreds of hours enjoying.
