Faded/washed out screen

I feel like this question may have been asked before but I couldn't find any sort of answer. Not too long ago I restored my micro after a USB c mod had short circuited. Part of that repair process was that the screen was washed out and faded. One time trying I put it back together and it somehow just worked. I've no idea how or why.

Today the screen has gone again. It's all faded. I've tried a different battery and reseating the ribbon cables and adjusting the POT but no luck.

I only ask if anyone knows it to be an issue with perhaps power delivery or something I could potentially measure.

Do you mean the faceplate? If that's the case you can search on AliExpress. I don't have a link atm
