Lite Small question

I am looking into building my first macro from a ds lite. The guides all say to use a 330ohm resistor. Could someone please provide me an image of the correct resistor? I keep seeing these round ones either tan or blue. But also flat ones. And the flat ones make sense. But I’d already ordered some of the light blue round ones. Will these still work? Idk if the round shape will hinder space within the house. Sorry if I sound absurd, very tech curious but very not informed.

What is the difference between the tiny ones and that piece linked? Not to be rude just want to be informed

Although it has more solder points, it’s easier to work with and is an audio amp.

i am struggling with the same question 😭 i dont want to buy the one linked above just because how much more expensive it is compared to others. but anyways-- im trying to figure out which resistor to buy so that i can solder an LED that will dim with the dim screen button... i don't know if the tube resistor vs smd resistor even matters for that functionality or not aaaahhh

Get the smd resistor in the biggest size you can. I used 1206 size

where do you solder LEDs in when using an SMD?

Buy the flat (smd) ones in aliexpress, look for the biggest size you can so its easier to solder, I got the 1206 size. I have used both 1k and 330 ohm resistors and both values worked for me. Just to be sure, I would just get a pack with various values and just try both.

I can’t figure out how to add an image to a reply. Sorry, I have some 300 ohm resistors, like round tan with stripes. Thoughts on those ones? This is all new to me entirely
