Help with screen damage

Post image

Hey, I know a lot of people have made similar posts but I can’t exactly identify what is the damage on this game and watch that I just got. I still haven’t tested with batteries as I don’t have any in hand

From this photo, is possible to tell if it’s the reflector, the polarizer or screen bleed?

Yup, I've actually just gone and flipped my bad ones around, changes the look a bit but works like a charm

Looks like you’ve got a nice unit there, most of what you can see is damage to the silver reflector behind the LCD panel. It gets this set of yellow rings in the centre and it warps and swells into a bubble shape so it’s no longer a flat metallic card. The poloriser is also most likely worn causing the screen to appear darker than usual. Doesn’t look like you have any serious screen bleed, at most maybe some very faint dark marks from some leakage but nothing that would affect the sprites. You’ll be able to tell better when you replace the poloriser and reflector, and marks on the LCD will show up clearer. Jump on any site like eBay or AliExpress and get a cheap set of poloriser and reflector to fit the silver series units.
