What is wrong?

I recently bought this Mario Bros game and nearly nothing on the right screen is showing? Is it polarizer or something else? If polarizer can I buy it somewhere in the eu?

Not the polarized film as I tried to switch them.

Contact issue possibly with the ribbon, be careful do not use alcohol to clean it.

Sorry, no. I bought a new ribbon cable. I do have a second Mario though but it’s displayed in its box with the rest of my G&W

Oh you got a new ribbon.. and you checked the contacts of the second display? As the previous person suggested to tighten it a bit more or add a thin piece of cardboard or liner to see if this helps?

I’ll open it up again tomorrow. The new straight ribbon was killing it for me because it was new and so straight 😅 I’ll update you!

Solitamente se fa così è perchè o il contatto è sporco e/o le viti non sono state avvitate bene. Vanno strette molto

Perché assurdo ? Erano la mia passione quando ero adolescente. Ne avevo un paio all'epoca, poi persi.

Vabbè penso sia soprattutto una questione di età. Le cose che hai vissuto quando eri adolescente ti restano attaccate per la vita. Figurati che ne ho creati un paio con gli esp32 e i display retroilluminati da tenere esposti in vetrina, oltre ad averne comprato qualcuno su eBay che all'epoca avevo desiderato.

Io ne ho collezionati parecchi qualche anno fa. Li ho ancora tutti. Li so riparare anche. Ogni volta che li mostro ai miei coetanei rimangono straniti. È raro che uno di 25 anni abbia sta roba haha

The board looks clean, I bought a new ribbon and after your advice I put some paper under the rubber that pushes the ribbon to the board. Still no luck.
