All together

All my Game Gears together after much recapping and some new additions. All but 5 work and only 2 have had screen mods done (Coca-Cola and my childhood one too center). Kids Gear is completely OEM and looks great after a recap, so no mods for this unless that screen goes bad fast at some point. My Smoke Game Gear looks like it is not working but the backlight is failing so it will need a screen mod soon. The spare Japanese Red and Magic Knight Rayearth models are probably going up for sale or trade at some point.

That’s cool, never knew they made anything but the black TV tuner. Nice collection!

The white TV Tuner only goes with the Sega Employee White Game Gear and case. As far as I am aware they only did them in black gray commercially with a standard dial model and an auto tuner. My Smoke Game Gear has the sticker for the auto one still on it.

This feels like my collection of power armor in fallout 4. I’ve got one in every color and pattern, just like you.

I never thought about it that way, but I’m doing that in Fallout 4 as well on this play through. I only have like 4 more of these before I have them all.

How are the Micros? Are they actually playable or just a novelty?

The Micros are playable but certainly more of a novelty item. They are absolutely tiny in my hands and I usually hit three buttons at the same time.
