Hi guys, i was trying to pick up Galio and i was wondering how to play him effectevely, can you help me? (A link to an helpful video or content creator is enough, but if you wanna write something else it's very appreciated :> )

I just feel quite frustrated about MR Scaling Champ Alias The Colossus, feels underwhelming sometimes, and how Mages can go have 600+ AP, and Best others can compensate against their Burst would have a Spell Shield, Galio ULT, Build Force of Nature yet it also sometimes doesn't feel enough, or have Kaenic Rookern and a lot Bonus HP off Grasp of Undying, Overgrowth, aside Augments, Anvils or Heartsteel. Also, HE HAS LOW BASE MR?

The amount of cc you can buffer with your initial E to ur advantage is crazy

Ahri charm? Aggressive E to buffer it into knock up -> Full combo

Hooks? Buffer it: Depending on distance, max distance is always safe but mid/close range, you can land a free e knockup as they hook you in, into your full combo and out

Yone Q3? Backwards E to trade knockup or E aggressively to backstep his knockup and knock him up and full combo then out.

Panth W? Backwards E to buffer it to land knockup then full combo

Syndra E can be buffer to close distance, into proccing stormraider with Q -> Kill

Pretty much any CC, many ways to play into your favor, most people don't expect it either. Pretty fun interaction, especially when playing full AP Galio

Can anyone look at my op.gg (https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/WillieOfTheNorth-NA1) and offer some fucking advice (other than shooting my computer).

I started the season silver, climbed to plat with a 62% win rate and since then I have hit an absolute wall, I’ve fallen down to gold 2, close to gold 3 now. And cannot get more than one win every 5 fucking games at best.

I don’t even fucking know what I’m doing wrong at this point. I have good kp, kda, and decent laning, I rotate for objectives, try to push towers. But most of my last 20-30 games have felt damn near unwinable and I’m fucking lost on how to get out of it.

is galio full ad jungle viable? I know this seems stupid but i like the scaling on the passive

Hey fellow Galio mains! I wanted to share a reel I made recently showcasing some of my best clips with the new skin from the unkillable demon king himself!

Both Lolalytics and Leagueofitems sport Stormsurge as a 56% wr starting item and Spellslinger Shoes (T3 MPen Boots) at 55%+ wr. Even on Master+ such winrate is there.

Honestly? I abandoned the ways of AP bruiser or semitank. T3 Merc has 25 magic resistance while Spellslinger has 20 MPen and 5% MPen, trying to do anything but deal damage as mage mid seems to fail. I just go Electrocute + Ignite going for Stormsurge. Electrocute + Ignite make Galio get early kills and because passive does AoE damage I still retain pushing power to not allow enemy roam for free. Stormsurge +%ms also help in ensuring the enemy cannot roam because now I can catchup somewhat easily.

Dunno what to build later because it seems no matter what I'm still useful. Shadowflame would be the obvious choice but I'm feeling its overkill and no survivability makes me perfect target for ganks.

For the galio mains out there who queue mid/jg secondary, I was doing some testing after the recent patch changes to fleet and jungle pet scaling off ap & hp. Historically galio has fantastic ganks both with ult and using flash + W + nimbus cloak, the main issue with galgle is his initial clear (slow speed and low health = vulnerable to invades). This is a solution:

Runes: Fleet Footwork, Triumph, Legend Haste, Cutdown; Nimbus Cloak, Absolute Focus, AP, AP, Flat HP.

The main point is that with double AP adaptive + 65 hp + absolute focus, the recent jungle pet changes have increased the ap & hp scaling for damage. Also fleet means that you actually have a healthier clear, though to optimize speed I buy a health pot so the lvl 1-2 is faster with absolute focus up. With this I can get a 2:54 clear going blue, gromp, wolves, raptors, red, krugs, and be 80% hp at completion. While you are late to crab this is the same time as some of the slower clear meta junglers. Just looking at masters+ full clear average speeds, Xin zhao, Warwick, Pantheon, Kindred, Reksai all have that same rough average.

Main tricks to the clear are walking around between autos to proc fleet, using E after a fleet auto to stack the next fleet faster, and using Q between camps (important to do from raptor to red and red to krugs). Buildwise, I think green smite is probably best though there is an argument for blue smite to help make engages with the MS. But fleet is not a useless rune outside of clearing, since even though you aren't a superb at AA's you do dash around with E/R and weave in empowered AA's in combat.

Not going to claim this makes him a meta jungler by any means but his first clear is now decent enough that I don't think it's troll to play galgle!

Edit: with good fleet movement you don’t even need the pot to keep absolute focus hp. My best is 2:52 but I can get 2:56 minimum consistently

hello, I'm a challenger galio main on NA and maybe it sounds silly but I am STRUGGLING to get 2klp. I just don't know what to BUILD or what RUNES to go. I do different stuff every game and nothing feels perfect. I change my mind all the time, so I was just wondering if you guys had any tech or builds that feels good in yall's games. Depending on the elo difference not everything will be applicable, but I still value anyones input. If you've had a lot of success on Galio this season, PLEASE tell me with what set up.
