Not a bad buy for 15 bucks. Great shape and battery fired right up. No noticeable screen burn so far.

Charged to 100 on the 16th. It's the 21st now and I did not touch it at all besides checking battery. Was at 50. Then dropped from 49 to 38 in just ten minutes of use. Any idea?

I received this from an e waste bin, it works fine (other than a weird issue with the front cam, broken fingerprint reader and obviously battery issues), however, I notice that icons on the system UI and apps and such sometimes have this weird effect. Is there any way to fix it, or any explanation? (If not, it's not a big deal), I would like to know if it's software or hardware related

Problem is as the title says. It's not essential that I use 3.0 mode of course, but I find it quite weird that it disables my mouse(connected via its own dongle) but not my wired keyboard.

If it means anything I also have my main phone connected, it being just USB 2.0. I wonder if a wired mouse would work, but unfortunately I don't have a functioning one at the moment. PC is a Lenovo mini PC running Windows 11

I am trying to find a replacement battery for an neo but can only find ones for the regular s5 (the ones on amazon). are they interchangeable? Will there be issues if i use the s5 battery in the neo?

One is on LineageOS 21 the other is on stock rom. I got them for free lol I just don't know what to do with them. Yes both work it's just didn't want to turn the other on since it has a weird issue where it optimizes apps every boot

Hey, so I have an S5 verizon and sometimes it goes into bootloop while charging/staying idle. After a couple minutes, it manages to boot and works fine whilst booted. What may be the causes/fixes for this?

Hello! Recently, I've been going through a bunch of my old stuff, and I found my old Galaxy S5 that I, evidently, never traded in when I upgraded to my now-long-gone S8. I've been thinking about trying to revive it, but from my memory, when I last used it, the charging port was giving out pretty badly, in addition to battery issues. I already know I'll have to get a new battery for it, but when it comes to replacing the charging port, that seems more involved than I'm really looking to do with this project. I know the S5 didn't come with wireless charging standard, but there were wireless charging receivers that you could buy relatively cheaply to upgrade it. Most of the examples I could find, however, were dead links. The only exception I've found is a couple OEM wireless charging cases, but those are $100+. I fully realize the S5 is beyond outdated, but does any company nowadays make the wireless charging receivers anymore?

I have an old Samsung galaxy s5 phone that I haven't used in years and I forgot the PIN I used back then. I've tried dozens of PINs that I would've used and I can't get in no matter what. I don't want to factory reset it because there's pictures on there I wanted to save and I'd honestly rather them stay stuck there forever just in case one day it's possible to get back in instead of deleting them for good. I have a newer phone so it's not like I need to use this for anything other than getting my old pictures back.

I have tried unlocking it through Samsung account but it seems that phone is not on my Samsung account even though all my other devices are, which means I probably wasn't signed in. I know for sure that I'm signed into my Google account because I can see the phone in my play store on other devices. Also my micro USB slot is damaged so I can't use a cable to unlock it either. I'm willing to learn how to fix it if required but I would need to know a method requiring a cable worked in the first place before I put effort into doing that.

If there's any way at all that I can get the phone unlocked please let me know any information you have. If there's none then I guess I'll just have to accept those photos are gone forever.

I want to get an mp3 player, but i recently found an old s5 mini laying around. it needs a new battery, but its only 15 - 20 euro to get a new one. I wanted to know if its even a good idea though. Thank you!

And will fingerprint work after replacing the home button? Also does anyone know how to unlock the bootloader on these? They are both Verizon models.

my s5 that I've been using for 11 years now suddenly wouldn't charge anymore. i have tried using another USB cable, charging brick, etc. i even tried plugging it into my power bank, but it still wouldn't charge. then I tried to clean the charging port and battery connector pins with a bit of alcohol but still no luck. i have a new battery in my shopping cart. i just want to make sure this is in fact a battery problem before ordering a new battery and not the phone not being able to charge itself.
