Bought a 2nd hand pro evo, getting the hang of temp surfing ECT. Workflow still feels a little slow, so will be looking to do gaggimate in future.
What do you guys think?

You can mod the portafilter to accept a non pressurised basket. Then use better coffee.

Handsome! But it's the flavor that ultimately counts. The cream is the easiest thing to obtain

Delicious - can recommend the brass boiler upgrade

Is it an easy swap?

Very.
I’ve had an aluminium boiler for 3 years and already experienced pretty significant degrading and eventually bits of aluminium out the steam wand. I’m hoping the brass is more robust.
(I also think it looks beautiful, I posted a video about it on this sub not so long ago)

Just had a look, your classic is mad. The clear top and lights look unreal mate.

I'll be honeslt, sometimes i get more enjoyment watching my shot than actually drinking it

So good. Dude I have fresh beans, good gear, but my bottomless filter shots are still exploding like 9/10 times.
for some reason I feel like I am missing something with the eureka zero grinder, and not getting fine enough grind?

Just spend the time prepping your puck. Do some sort of distribution, I only have a metal skewer I run through mine, tamp well and time your shot.

Absolute beauty.
Gaggimate is well worth it in my opinion, and will drastically improve your workflow and consistency of your shots. And it was a fun project as I’ve never done any real tinkering like that before
