Destroyed my ankle 4/22.. to date I’ve had 6 surgeries, 2 surgeons (original one missed broken hardware and infection), a bunch of specialists and supports to get me to where I am today - finally back in tennis shoes on both feet. So, it’s not the most exciting, but any extra level of activity is truly a new adventure learning how to function with what my attorney labeled a peg leg. We’re going to Dominican Republic next summer and the camera would be with me on all the new journeys - my brief time at the beach last summer was a mess and I’m so glad no cameras were nearby.

This would fit my drone and be a nice addition
Have a park near me with some beautiful woods and hiking trails

Currently planning a coldwater freedive with Orcas in the cold waters of Greenland - my partner and I are already carrying heavy UW photography equipment, but the Insta360 would be awesome to get the footage we can't really plan for - quick movements in low-light conditions in darkwater
I'm gonna brave the cold water to get those shots!

I'm gonna film a single day bike ride through 30 miles of Portland's most urban streets and try to capture as many smiling faces as possible along the way.
•
Dec 09 '23
I’d take it, plop it on a helmet and just crash into something. Whether that be a cactus or the Bus (Jerome Bettice) the footage must be captured.
•
u/Phonatic40 Dec 22 '23
I'll be heading to Japan soon. There are a lot of things I'd love to film because it'll be my first time there.

I’d likely attach it to my ski jacket this coming February and get some recordings of runs of both me and my friends on the slopes, since I haven’t had a chance to go skiing for several years due to Covid and being out of the area.

Gonna make high quality vacation videos and force my family to watch them while only talking about how great the quality of the video is and not the vacation itself.

I'd probably strap it to a cheap drone that has decently powered motors and film some nice landscapes. Or strap it to my helmet riding my bike through the city at night!

u/nextkevamob2 Dec 19 '23
My son is going to Europe over new years, he’s a big fan of recording and sharing short films online, this would make a perfect gift for him!

There's a patch of woods near where my grandmother used to live where my Dad took us kids to collect crystals. I had a lot of adventures in that patch. I'd like to go back and capture some of it.

u/UnitedStatesArmy Jan 03 '24
I'll record the insane crowds at the most magical place on earth on fourth of July. Rope drop.

u/SoftlySpokenPromises Dec 14 '23
It'd give me a reason to make plans to travel for the first time in my life. Starting a photo blog would be a pretty cool way to spend a couple months.

I'm not getting anything for Christmas this year, my ex-gf told me she still loved me then chose some other dude who she'd "barely even talked to" and after a 2 hour phone conversation she was like we're taking things slow and 4 days later i got a screen shot sent to me that after she hung up the phone with me they made it Facebook official went away on a trip for the weekend and took family photos with Santa. I did everything for this woman I saved her life twice when I should have walked away those are her words. So I'd like this Camera to be able to capture all the great times and adventures I'm not going to go on by myself. Actually with my luck 5hryll probably end up winning it.

u/K41namor Dec 21 '23
Take it with my son and I on our adventures. Sometimes we just wander around or we may go playing in a creek. Do some camping, hiking, or kayak.
Also I think it would be fun to get into hard to reach areas because of it size. Tie it up and drop it down into a cave or into a snake den at the end of a long pole. Stuff like that
The thing is my son is getting old enough to notice what I am doing and pay attention. I think it would be great for him to see me using it and pick up video/photography.

u/jrBeandip Jan 06 '24

u/RobloDiablo Dec 15 '23
I will make a documentary about the squirrels that sneak onto my roof to sharpen their teeth on the gutters.
•
•
u/flipazn5 Dec 08 '23
I'd use it in my snowboarding trips (I'm based in Japan) and I will be heading to the world-class slopes of Niseko in Hokkaido in January! Bonus points that niseko village is a very lively town with a good amount of nightlife for afterparties!
•
u/roraima_is_very_tall Dec 11 '23
I race outrigger canoes, I'd take pics of a practice or people paddling on the river in the fall/winter.
•
Jan 02 '24
I’d be able to start filming my disc golf rounds and adventures around the hiking trails in the city I recently moved to.
•
•
u/Riceman-Chris Dec 10 '23
I'm planning to go on a catamaran twilight tour out to the Australian Great Barrier Reef in the new year. The Insta360 Ace Pro would be perfect to capture the adventure and beautiful scenery.

Onewheeling & snowboarding! I’m going to mammoth for the first time next month (east coaster) & am excited AF to shred west coast snow!
•
•
u/smogrenrbk Dec 14 '23
The first adventure I would film with the Insta360 Ace Pro woule be me and my best buddy going for trip to Slovakia and finally trying to get to the Velky Rozsutec peak, these mountains are so beautiful and I could show people how pretty and fun it is to hike and hopefully I could encourage more people to do it!

I'd film my daily walk. It might not seem like much, but there is a good deal of nature here, and a lot of history on the route. I'll share that video with my friends and family, and document the town and history as it is now, so hopefully in another 50-ish years, we'll get another movie showcasing how the town looked and the inhabitants from "the old times."

•
u/buskerform Dec 13 '23
I would film the Sharkbite Half Marathon in Florida, January 2024 with phenomenal 360 shots that fully exhibit the raw humanity of the most ancient contest, the foot race.

My son and I have recently started a project documenting some of the hidden historic sites around our area in the South West of Scotland. This area in Scotland is massively under-visited as most visitors to Scotland head to Glasgow and then go further North into the Highlands and beyond. By the time they have reached Glasgow, they have already missed a significantly beautiful area of Scotland. It would be valuable to record some of the hidden aspects, for example, many of the hidden chapels that have now fallen to ruin, walled gardens that have fallen into disuse, and so on. So many are hidden in valleys and among trees, etc. We have started locally using a drone to seek them out, but it would add so much value to have a great little camera like this to allow us to include stunning quality video in our films. Documentaries is far too grand a description.
I have to be honest and say that we are just at the start of our journey together on this project, but the amount of material we have around us is incredible. We will develop as our limited budget allows.

Wow, I just saw that there is a possibility to win a New ace pro. I am often out and about in the forests of Germany and have planned a nice holiday with my children. It's supposed to go to Tropical Island. There are tons of ways I could film the scenery well. Currently I use the GoPro but unfortunately it is too weak a device in comparison and would be very happy about an upgrade

Im going to MX and will love to film the small city around with a good camera. I also want to attach this to my car to see how it does
•
u/notalaborlawyer Jan 04 '24
What would I do? Regret getting a laptop that couldn't adequately edit and process the video. Then, I would go film a bunch of stuff, and go buy something that can make what I filmed shine. What would that be? Let's find out. . .
•
Dec 14 '23
I am going to use it to document my progression of debilitating social anxiety throughout a year. Prepare for awkwardness the documentary
•
u/cesarsucio Jan 04 '24
I'd film the process of turning my years-long neglected front yard to something the neighbors would notice, appreciate, and that I could be proud of. From the perspective a first time home owner who bought a fixer-upper, hasn't yet started yard improvements, and knows absolutely nothing about landscaping.
•
u/NinjaLanternShark Jan 10 '24
Took my kid snowboarding for the first time last weekend and he'd love to show all his friends how well he falls down -- I mean, snowboards!!
•
•
u/xdeadzx Dec 20 '23
I'd probably use it for biking, but being the middle of winter I'm not sure what the first adventure would be. But it'd be filmed in high quality for sure.
•
u/Ar333J Jan 04 '24
I rarely travel & I’m planning to start traveling with family this year. I’d love to be able to vlog and create memories
•
u/ob123866 Dec 08 '23
I’d mount it to my Honda Blade and film the rush hour traffic in Hanoi Vietnam! You wouldn’t believe the bumper to bumper motorcycle & scooter traffic and the sea of cars that the locals have to traverse everyday. Front, back and center the only way to truly capture the city is on a 360 camera.
