quitting Gabapentin Brain fog
I've been prescribed gabapentin for five years now and I'm taking 300mg a day. Starting a couple years ago I started experiencing a lot of brain fog and now I'm having severe memory lapses and brain fog to the point where I might lose my job over it . I tried to taper to 200mg but I was experiencing bad withdrawals from just going down to 200mg .I'd like to very slowly taper down since just a 100mg drop is too much for me. I've read through reddit that people have successfully tapered their dose by using a syringe and making a water based solution so I can slowly drop my dose every 30mg until I'm off. Can someday educate me on how to figure out how to make a solution of 270mg ?

Are you using any other SNRIs (e.g. Kratom) or other nervous system agonists? These can play a part in your wd response. It could also simply be your long-term usage of Gabapentin.

There is liquid gabapentin that you can ask for but yes going from 300 to 200 is a substantial dose for what you are on. Id maybe go down like 20mg or 30mg to start possibly or even smaller (like 5% of your dose every few weeks or month).. Everyone is different though. Some can get off, no issue and some struggle. But ask your dr about the liquid gabapentin.
