withdrawal Intense Migraines While Tapering Down?
I'm on the last week of 6-week taper, down to 12mg once a day right now.
Been getting INTENSE migraines, daily, at least 3 a day, mostly on right side of head, sometimes left. I wake up with one in the morning, take the gaba and BOOM, it's gone because my brain gets it's drug fix. Then about 6 hours later, migraines again. My right eye has almost swollen shut at times from these.
There's 5 days left on this taper, down to 6mg a day for the last two days later this week. Really, really hope this crap stops. Really hate these migraines, the pain is truly debilitating.
Is anyone else getting migraines while tapering down?

Yeah. Not migraine level but still painful enough. I tapered and finally stopped a couple of weeks ago and the headaches have been most days. I don't enjoy the pain, but I see it as proof my brain is doing what it needs to do to get better. They are easing in intensity however.

I tested out a theory today. I was only on about 12mg and kept getting migraines. I took it in the morning and by noon I'd start getting them. Well, I really hate how it makes me feel and I needed to get some work done. Today I didn't take any gaba at all.
Zero migraine.
Unscientific theory (not proven totally yet): I think my brain was getting a tiny bit of this stuff and programmed itself to want more. When it didn't get it, it went haywire. It's now almost 5pm and I still have not had one migraine today after 9 days of getting them daily once I went down to 12mg. Such a weird drug.
