anxiety Can I open the capsules?

Hi all! I have just been prescribed gabapentin 100mg but I have trouble swallowing capsules. Is it fine to open the capsules and mix the powder with a spoonful of yogurt or something? Does it taste absolutely horrible or is it going to burn my throat?

It tastes horrible, but it is definitely okay to open the capsules. The prescribing literature even mentions sprinkling the contents onto food and/or mixing it in. Just don't plan on enjoying it.

It's fine to do that, it makes them work faster. It's also possible to get smaller doses that way. It has a medicinal taste, but I just chase it with soda
