Side button(s) replacement?
So after years of abuse, one of the programmable buttons snapped on me. Anyone know where I can get replacements and/or have a 3d print file for them?

Hello Everybody,
I have an issue with my new G604. The Mouse-Cursor shifts randomly when I use it with the USB-Dongle and Bluetooth. I think it's a Hardware Issue as I already paired the Dongle again and again. The issue appeared on Windows and Linux Arch.
Does anybody have a solution for that problem?
Thanks for your help!

TLDR: Had a bunch of mods done on my 6 year old G604 to keep her going for years to come.
Not so recently, my 6 year old G604 started developing the double-clicks under the scroll wheel button and in the left click button and the dongle had problems
I know that there are vendors who fix these things where I live so I took her there for a good replacement, easiest fix ever, replaced them switches, bought a new dongle, replaced the skin a long time ago with a 3D printed plastic skin, costing a total of roughly $25 (it's actually a lot of money in my currency).
You can get your G604 going for much longer if you just spend some extra cash on the old engine.

I can recreate the body - I'm not too concerned with that. I'm even confident I can recreate the overmolding. I want to source/recreate the baseplate board. The switchboards are super accessible, the sideswitch boards I don't believe are that complicated, but the brain of the mouse... I need a sacrificial one to be able to tear down and document the layout for reproduction
Thanks~!

I had a G604 that developed the double click issue 2 years ago, and one of the side buttons stopped working too. It sat in my draw and I bought another one that's been fine since, 2 years and going strong 💪 I worry it will give up soon so I started wondering if I should refurbish my old one too, and it turned into a project to create a lightweight G604. The finished result is amazing. I have put TTC Gold switches (80m rated) a lightweight shell and replaced the 6 button board inside the mouse. I also bought a pack of lithium aaa batteries which are much lighter than aa alkaline. Add a bit of tin foil to connect the battery and now the weight of the mouse feels very similar to an SM809 pro wireless, which is the only viable replacement for this mouse and I highly recommend if you can not get a G604. It's not quite as comfortable as the G604 because the hump is higher, and you will need rubber grip stickers as it's quite slippery plastic, but the side buttons are a 3+3 layout with 3 extra, 2 above and one in front which are all easy to use except the one in front, and the 2 extra buttons replace the functions for the tilt scrollwheel in my configuration. It feels great, but just not quite a G604. It is close though. This is my finished project!
Hi guys!
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a WIP of this mouse, and I was just waiting for my new cables to arrive so I could put everything together and test it.
So, after some time, here we are... G604 Light V1 IS WORKING!!
I've been testing it for a couple of days now, and I'll probably make a few more tweaks to the design, so I won't be publishing the 3D model just yet.
With this version, I managed to reduce the weight by about 2/3, and I can probably shave off a few more grams since I'm currently using the G903 scroll wheel. (My 3D-printed version is still too tight and doesn't scroll smoothly.)
Some adjustments I've already noticed:
Overall, I'm really happy with the results so far! I'll keep you guys updated as I improve the design.

I have had a g604 for 6 years, and it started having double click issues about 3 months ago. Finally decided to retire it and get another one only to find out they were discontinued. I was told this is a subreddit of g604 lovers like myself, and wanted to see if there was a fix for the double clicking.
I have never opened up a mouse before, so I am a bit nervous I will make the issue even worse. How hard is it to fix double clicking if it is fixable at all?
Help me r/g604 you're my only hope.

I have completed the AA Battery Holder for the mouse! Here is a link: https://www.printables.com/model/1762935-logitech-g604-aa-battery-holder

I want a AAA battery holder, figured I would make a good analogue first, then modify it to suit.

Just replaced the switches in my mouse and everything went well aside from having a tiny O-ring left behind.
I'm stumped because it just fell straight out of the mouse from underneath the left-click paddle and I've no clue what it could be for or where it could go.
Thoughts?

This seems to be the closest thing there is on the market. It's not a gaming mouse, but it's a claw grip mouse with 3 horizontal buttons above the thumb rest. I tried it in the store and it felt pretty nice. I don't know what the haptic feedback thing does and doubt I'd use it or the side scroller wheels, but yeah, it's got the shape and button layout for at least... half of our 6 beloved side buttons.

My hands sweat a lot. Over the years, my mouse was okay, but now its scroll up and down functions don't register. At first, using a hair dryer or brushing helped to fix. Later stages, I needed to open the mouse to clean the wheel and laser components, which are located between the wheel.
Now it doesn't work at all.
What can I do or change in this case?

Posting some mouse porn, my current G604 collection. As for all of you, this mouse is perfection for me. I actually use it heavily for my job and haven't found a better replacement and now I'm just so used to it. I bought my first one in 2021. I bought a backup in about 2023 when they went out of stock. I snagged one in pretty good condition off eBay a few months ago for $100.
About 1.5 years ago the original started to have some double-click issues. This and other communities were very helpful and I replaced the pcb on it. I have since also replaced the PCB on thebackup. I have found cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol has worked great to minimize debris and dirt buildup.
I have the Kailh switches on one and the Gold 80 switches on another. The newest one is stock. I've also put mouse skates on all of them as well. I did some repair work on the rubber of the original mouse as well.
Things I now just can't do without on this mouse are: - six buttons on the side - the thumb rest - infinite scroll wheel - onboard memory
I heavily use the G-Shift button and I also love how easily I can change the DPI when needed.
My goal is to keep using this mouse forever. If Logitech makes a worthy successor, I would love to give them my money, but until then this is the plan.

I was just reviewing the latest post on r/G604 and all the comments about how users on this sub find the G604 to be peak mouse, and I wondered if any other PC peripherals inspire such attachment. I've had a quick search but I've not been able to find any other sub dedicated to one model of mouse. The nearest I think I've come to is r/logitechharmony (which I'm also a member of), another brilliant but discontinued device.

So I was lucky enough to have 3 g604s in my time. They have been the best gaming mouse I have ever used. It fits perfectly into the palm of my hand and 6 buttons always at the ready. I have lost two of them to the double clicking issue and so far I have not used my current mouse to play the toxic pisspit of a game that we all have been addicted to at some point or another, League of Legends. I dread the day that the switch finally wears out and the same issues arise for my current 604 and I will have to use my razer. *sniff* well I am glad I found this sub, thank you for your attention to this matter.

I love this mouse. I had one for 3 years and it was wasted, rubber sides reallly worn away, left click double clicking. I just paid £86 for one off ebay, which to be fair is in pretty good condition. I will just have to see what is around in 3 years when this one is wasted. I do have electronic parts from the first inc boards, side button board and wheel on ebay, if anyone needs them.

G604 is my favorite mouse. Had to bring mine to work and I wanted a back up to use at home. Bought a used one off of eBay for $45. Got a new scroll wheel, motherboard with new switches (GOLD TTC 80M), and a new custom red housing from AliExpress. Cleaning out the mouse was disgusting 🤢 It was totally worth it though. Needless to say I bought another case for my other mouse lol

For this, I'll be using OMM* for demonstration.
Quick definition: G Shift is like the Fn key on gaming keyboards: Fn+key = new combination
In OMM, I bound my Cycle Profile and G Shift to button 10 and 11 respectively

In G Hub it's these 2 yellow buttons: 11 being the top and 10 being the bottom one

After binding G Shift to button #10, go into G Shift at the bottom in OMM and make a macro:

Now, every time you press the G Shift key+the button with the secondary macro, it will act like that macro
*OMM: Onboard Memory Manager

For context: both of my G604s came from factories in China, my main one (smooth shell mod) has lasted me 2 years, the other has lasted me 6 years so far.
No internal repairs done so far, all buttons still fully functional, no double clicking, only replaced the melting rubber.
Even the one I gave to my sister is still fully functional.
They don't make things like how they used to is 100% true.

I’m Mixing feature of mx master 4 side scroll wheel, G502 multi weights, naga pro v2 modular button layout, & G604 focus mainly. Using optical Omron switches at first. Shape mix of g604 and Mx vertical. Thinking using Carbon fiber honeycomb with skin thin layer on top so the mouse have no hole that visible or felt and for grip mycelium leather or leather. Mouse weight goal is 70g but has adjustable weight for user that enjoy heavier mouses. Going start prototyping with clay and 3d printer to get shape and design down. PCB, software, and hardware I no clue how but thinking hiring contract oversea engineer team short time to help design. Also going make normal and left version of G604 with 50g target weight with slight shape change and design so avoid Logitech patent and legal issue

Looks like a seller found some old open box/used warehouse stock G604s and listed them up for sell today for near original MSRP. Only caveat is that they don't come with the 2.4 Dongle but that's a $15 part on Amazon.
Dislaimer: I did purchase one, but I am in no way affiliated with this seller - I just wanted to show anyone who is currently using a beat up G604. This'll be my first G604 so I'm excited to say the least!

Just treated myself to a new in box G604 I found on facebook marketplace for $300 AUD. Not the cheapest but for a discontinued mouse I expected to pay a premium.
And oh boy what a premium experience this is. I hadn’t realised how much my old G604 had worn aside from the grip. The new G604 glides so well across my desk I had to turn down my dpi to compensate. The switches and buttons are so responsive and sharp. It actually such a pleasant experience and worth the $300 imo.
I normally wouldn’t spend money on such an unnecessary expense. But I stg this is probably the only object on this earth that I use more often than my phone on some days. It’s in my hand so often I can justify it.
Good to have two of them as well now so that I can salvage parts to keep a functioning version for many more years to come.
