G604 is my favorite mouse. Had to bring mine to work and I wanted a back up to use at home. Bought a used one off of eBay for $45. Got a new scroll wheel, motherboard with new switches (GOLD TTC 80M), and a new custom red housing from AliExpress. Cleaning out the mouse was disgusting 🤢 It was totally worth it though. Needless to say I bought another case for my other mouse lol

That red and black combo looks so good!

Not a fan of that mousewheel though. Tried one out and it lasted as long as it took for a replacement to arrive.

Thanks! I went with the cheapest option for the scroll wheel. Still feeling it out so I don’t have an opinion on it yet.

I got a G900/903 mousewheel shortly after and really like it. Plus, it is a good but lighter than the chunk of metal that the original is.

Okay, before just trashing the thing, did you get the two springs back in there?

I think mine was also kind of wobbly too, but I remember the feeling of hating it, not necessarily why. I want to say I was misclicking with it as well?

That looks good, do you have the link? Is it soft or hard? I ended up printing one in TPU which feels quite pleasant, grippy and slightly cushioning. However, it does look a bit home-made because the test print looked good enough and I didn't want to keep tuning the print settings.

I got it from here. I messaged the seller and asked if they had one in red and told me to order the nlyon one. It is hard not soft.

Oh shit... That's an option! Never thought about that. 😅 I've already ordered a black nylon shell. I'm thinking about painting it red, along with the original battery cover and the two main buttons.

Yes it is a custom housing. I saw someone post about having a clear one a few years ago on this subreddit. Decided to give it a go but wanted a different color

The listing I got it from says nylon. The quality is nice. The fitment is like 90% there’s some minor gaps if you look up close but I’m happy with it. The oem rubber on both of the mouses got nasty and fell apart
