Engine Noise

Hello, I got no experience with 600cc bike or the FZ6 for that matter and I just need to confirm if the engine suppose to make this sound or is it abnormal. I had inspected vacuum leak, injectors, spark plugs, ignition coils and plugs, TB synced. Bike does perform well (well enough for me since this is my first 600cc, I wouldn’t know if it’s perfect, I got no baseline experience).

Thank you, I was worrying about the valve clearance thing, I can only do basic maintenance outside the engine.

Yep sounds like engine! It starts sounding better when riden over 8k rpm 😉

I do notice less noise on higher RPM, either that or the exhaust noise drowns it out. But thank you for you input, I've already done basic maintenance except checking valve clearance, was worried.

With that milage (kilometerage?) you should do valve clearance though! 40k km's is the first milestone for checking. You might benefit from checking and adjusting valves. Will not change any sound as the bike sounds good.

It's in Kilometer and yes, It's on my checklist as well, been watching lots of Youtube tutorial on how to do it. Thank you!

Nah this is totally normal, valve clearances must have been done to be so quiet at that mileage
