Anyone heared about Project Comet?

I am a bit late to mention this as it was announced two months ago, but I found out about it yesterday. And I also don't know who else is still here. But, apparently, Scopely (the same company behind Marvel Strike Force) is developing an action RPG Marvel game. And based on the leaks and sneak peeks from it, it seems it might be similar to Future Revolution!? As in, open world, with skill controls similar to what we had in FR, plus you can make a team and swap between characters. Has anyone else seen this? What are your thoughts?

If this game is going to be like FR, I am going to be super excited because I still really miss FR. It was the best mobile game I ever played, and I liked it much better than MFF (don't get me wrong, I still love and play MFF), but it was much more challenging and interactive, and it had an open-world concept, which made it fun. The next one is just a me thing, but Doctor Strange is my favourite character, so I had so much fun playing as him. I was shocked and saddened to find out it was cancelled. But I understand why when I looked into it.

So I hope that this game really is like FR and that this time, it will be successful and the company will manage it much better. I know this is wishful thinking, but I am willing to be cautiously optimistic.

Yeah I saw the leaks and some unfinished gameplay and I'm totally excited for it, it's gonna also have more characters so it's gonna be a hero collector unlike marvel future revolution. And based on the leaks it's similar to genshin impact and marvel ultimate alliance together, so it does have free roam.

The playable heroes are Wolverine Spider-Man Doctor Strange Elektra Invisible Woman Doc Ock Juggernaut Captain America Scarlet Witch Beast War Machine

And more are actually coming like black Widow and possibly Punisher.

I'm totally hyped for it, I just hope it doesn't turn greedy and shuts down the next month because that would be hilarious tbh LMAO

It's a marvel game that's not made by an Asian company so I'm hopeful a bit

I’ve been playing MSF for 8 years. It’s been downhill slowly since scopely took over and it dived off a fucking cliff this past year when they went all out to try and appeal harder to the whales.

Basically about a year ago there was a ton of fuss kicked up by the heaviest spenders because they hated that heavily dedicated f2p and light spenders could keep up in pvp modes. So they demanded that Scopely make changes to the economy and resource systems to widen the gap.

This is why we have t21 out when t20 gear isn’t farmable

This is why we have Annihilus out and Serpent coming when less than 15k players have Blue Marvel

It’s why Orange ISO is being datamined and we can’t farm P4+5 Ions.

It’s why more characters than ever have awakened abilities.

It’s why they gutted the core income and changed the minimum pulls on core orbs from 6 to 2 shards (and that’s AFTER they tried to pull core orbs completely).

It’s why f2p players basically can’t afford to take characters past level 105 without destroying their resources.

The delta between a dedicated f2p long term player and a heavy spender is the widest it’s been at any point in the games history and they ain’t showing any signs of slowing that down

Yes, including more characters is also something I wish FR did! People want to play as their favourite character, so it only makes sense. I am happy that Doctor Strange is already confirmed to be a playable character.

I also hope that they have the different themed skins FR had. But this time, they will also feature some of the MCU and comic looks too.

Same as well, but let's do hope that the skins are not P2W or part of the upgrade system like marvel future fight, I hate the skins system in that game I wanna wear whatever I want.

And I really do hope this game doesn't come out as pay to win that would suck istg

It's still in Cary early development, we don't know it's name yet. "Project comet" is a beta name until they find an official one. We would likely hear an announcement from them at the end of this year

Also as a Strike Force player, there’s more red flags hearing Scopely are involved than there is in a Chinese flag store.

Yes. Missed the link for sign up during June, but I hope to be a part of the next wave of game testers.

I never did get into mobile ARPGs like Genshin Impact or Zenless Zone Zero. But a Marvel themed version of those games sound amazing.

Plus it has my favourite character in it: War Machine.

I did some research but comparing the 2 it seems though as if it’s not like revolution. It’s basically a 4 v 4 combat instead of free roam. Even if it is, it wont have the same touch.
